INSPIRED HOMESTEADING AND MENTORSHIP

The Peace Farm is a 1.5 acre orchard, garden and homestead on Salt Spring Island. We are inspired by traditional small scale family domains that produce beautiful foods and medicinal plants in harmony with the living watersheds, living soils and living ecosystems.

We have a budding pawpaw orchard and are so excited to bring this tropical fruit back onto the table. Pawpaws are a soft fruit that resemble the flavors of melon, papaya and banana, and amazingly, they grow in the North! These fruits stopped being propagated with the invention of refrigerated trucks and the selection of harder, easier to ship fruits like apples and pears. We’re on a mission to revive this yummy nutrient dense treat!
